Vermont Farm to School & Early Childhood Network Day is Thursday, April 15
The Vermont Farm to School & Early Childhood Network is co-hosting the 2027 Northeast Farm to Institution Summit, convened by Farm to Institution New England, in Burlington, VT April 14-16, 2027 at Hotel Champlain.
Save the date: Thursday, April 15 is Vermont Farm to School and Early Childhood (FTSEC) Network Day! Child nutrition professionals, farmers, educators, producers, distributors, and community partners are invited to learn and share how Vermont is connecting students with local food.
Whether your work centers on school gardens, local procurement, nutrition education, early childhood programs, cafeteria operations, youth leadership, or food system partnerships, this is an opportunity to deepen your practice, build new connections, and bring fresh ideas back to your community.
The full three-day F2iSummit brings together food system leaders from across the region to spark ideas, build partnerships, share resources and skills, and strengthen our collective impact. This year’s theme: Connected Systems, Collective Impact. More than 500 farmers, food service directors, distributors, educators, and advocates gather to do this work in person — and leave ready to act.

Request for Workshop Proposals
The request for F2i Summit workshop proposals is open through October 12. Let’s share Vermont’s incredible work with the region! We're looking for: 2-hour strategy sessions, 1-hour sessions, 10-minute lightning talks, and field trips to schools and early childhood sites around Burlington.
We encourage you to participate across the full three days of programming! FTSEC workshops, panels, and field trips run throughout the F2iSummit, alongside sessions on hospitals, colleges, early care settings, and carceral food systems.
All F2iSummit attendees are welcome to join the Vermont FTSEC Network Day programming, whether you're new to Vermont's work or coming from another state's farm to school movement. Single-day registrations available.
Join us in Burlington as we showcase Vermont's nationally reaching FTSEC leadership and learn alongside colleagues from across the Northeast! More program details to come in December 2026. Registration opens early 2027.
